We are planning to open a new school at Wallender
Engineering that will be available to everyone with access to a
computer. The curriculum will range from single classes to full
courses and will cover a broad range of engineering topics. From very
basic grammar school beginner, to the most advanced thinking.
Our goal is to be able to take someone with very little formal
training and teach them to use their imagination. The courses offered
from our new school will be absolutely free to participants. On
completion of each course, students will be asked to rate the course
on a scale of 1-5 to provide valuable feedback.
Now, we need your help! Firstly we need a name for the new school so
we're having a contest to decide what the new name should be. The
prize is yet to be announced. If you have a suggestion for the name
of the new school, please send it
here.
Next, we are looking for interested people who would be willing to
teach our classes. You can be an experienced teacher or possess the
ability to show others how to accomplish tasks. The class subjects
can be as simple as gear ratios, or as complex as complete permanent
habitats on Mars. The class duration can be as short as one lesson or
as long as necessary. From learning the very basics of getting
started on one of the CAD drawing packages to Structural Strength
charts, we need your skills and resources.
We have a very diverse range of abilities, from grammar school kids
to experts in their chosen fields. People that have a desire to know
more about many different things. People that want to build and
design things.
If you possess the right skills and would like to share those skills,
we would welcome your participation in the school. Our volunteer
teachers will be acknowledged for their contribution by having their
name, bio, and picture displayed next to each class that they teach.
If you have the skill and flair for instructing how to master those
skills, plus the desire to help others who are keen to learn, please email
me
here. Please include any questions, lesson suggestions, your biography,
and a photo to go with the bio.
